This is the first piece of adaptive outwear designed for ambulatory wheelchair users, and anyone else who loves a combination of bold dramatic flair and warmth.
This elegant cloak is reversible and features a short and long side. Place the short side in front for use when standing and walking. Use the hidden ties to snug the short side against you for a warm, contoured fit that ensures the cloak will not get caught in a mobility aid and keep you looking snatched.
For seated use, untie the ties, turn the cloak so that the long side is in front, then take the ties which are now behind you and tie them in front of you. This will prevent the cloak from shifting or riding up. You can now sit with the long part of the cloak warmly covering your knees. There is a clasp at the bottom, allowing you to clip the ends of the long side together behind your calves, preventing them from being caught in the wheels of a wheel chair or flapping in the wind.
The hood is on a hinge attached at the sides, meaning you can swing it from the long side to the short side as needed.
